2010

Happy New Year! This is the year of new beginnings and expectation!!!

Resolve to be fear less in ALL you do. Unless you were born with a "silver spoon in your mouth," almost anything worth having will require work to achieve. With that being said, pursue your passion with zest! Do the things you said you were going to do years, months, days ago, but never got the chance to. Live your life with few regrets. Life is entirely too short to be taken for granted.

There are tons of people out there secretly wishing to have the life you have. There are others with problems far worse than yours. There are even folks who may seem as though their life is a piece of cake. Regardless of the category, everyone would agree that their life has room for improvement. No one would ever admit that they have too much money, too much wealth or too much of a good time to accept more. We are in the age of "more." The age of non satisfaction. With that being said, pursue your dream(s), write down your goals and make things happen.

Do what others won't do today, so that you can have what others won't have tomorrow.

Be ye Thankful

As we approach the Holiday season, I hope we all begin to ponder on the things we're most grateful for. If you think your life is a mess, remember there's someone out there who's got it worse.

Though things are not as great as they could be, be Thankful.
You may not have a way to pay your bills, but be Thankful.
You may have prayed to God to win the lottery, but didn't....be thankful.
You may not have the best place to live...but have a roof over your head, be Thankful.
You may be going through trials and tribulations, be Thankful.
Remember, you can't have a testimony, without a TEST, so be Thankful.
God is in the Blessing, Healing, and Saving business, so be Thankful!

Word of the day: Thankful

Colossians 3:15 (KJV): "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful."

"Today was a good day"

I'm an Ice Cube fan and felt the need to use the title of one of his most popular songs as the title of my blog.

Today was a good day. Not b/c I won the lottery, won a Nobel Peace Prize, funded a cure for the AIDS epidemic, helped eliminate world wide hunger, or helped create and sustain jobs in America.....Today was a good day b/c I learned valuable information that will change my life forever.

It is soo amazing who God decides to put in your life; whether it is to TEACH you something or help bring you THROUGH something. Well tonight the people God placed in my life were the Platinum Presidents of Ardyss International who were transparent and spoke candidly about their struggles before becoming wealthy. Their testimony was what I needed to hear, it made them real, made the goal seem much more attainable, reinforced my belief that my work is not in vain and everything I do will be worthwhile.

God is good. Matter of fact.....God is GREAT! He is a wonderful God b/c he's patient with me despite my short comings, he continues to bless me despite my complaints, continues to listen and answers prayer despite my nagging.....will put up with me, when I don't even want to put up with myself...now that says a lot. :-)

God led me to tonight's training session. He allowed me to be in the room with millionaires younger than me and also less than 5 yrs older than me. Its amazing how God knows that I am a visual person and I like to see things. So for him to allow me to be in the presence of wealth at that magnitude, I am forever grateful. The Platinum President's during tonight's training were awesome! They gave valuable info that I am willing to share with the right people.

They taught me that selecting a quality team will take effort, but my efforts will not be in vain. They reiterated that steadfastness, having a positive attitude and being humble were key to success. That being true to myself, keeping my word, and following up were key to my business survival. They taught many things that I am thankful and will forever be grateful for.

To conclude, I would like to present a challenge to you (my blog reader). If you're reading this message, I would like you to do me a favor please? I'm baack!!!

Hello family,

I felt your worry, so I'm back to update my page. As a blogger it is my duty to provide you with up to date information. Your viewership is important to me. I value every view, comment and/or suggestion. My deepest apologies for the delay in blogging.

The reason for my absence is due to my intense focus on preparing for a business showcase in Ft. Lauderdale. I spent almost every night for the past 3 weeks preparing for the showcase and my hard work paid off! I closed some deals!!!

Although the turnout was not as robust as I expected, those in attendance had a great time. I was given compliments on my vast knowledge and confidence on the Health & Wellness Industry. The attendees gained valuable information on the health and wellness industry, in addition to tips for leading a healthier life. After performing a live demonstration of the reshaping garments, an attendee bought a garment immediately. Another attendee joined my business as an independent distributor as soon as I explained the financial benefits. :-)

I love working in the networking marketing industry. It is a rewarding business. I am compensated for doing what I love...helping others live healthier and more fulfilling lives. I am not compensated hourly nor am I salaried. I'm building wealth. My compensation potential is limitless (unlike a job in corporate America). I'm being compensated for life b/c I am creating residual income. To sum it up - I am recession proofing my life.

It pays to know me. Ask me how!

What a week.....

God is amazing. He never ceases to amaze me. Last week and the week before were horrible weeks as I was (and still am) dealing with damages done to my apartment as a result of the Atlanta flood. During this week, my patience, faith and Christianity was tested. My apartment complex botched things on way too many occasions and their lack of concern spoke volumes. As a result, I wanted to take matters in my own hands and handle thangs the wrong way. But, I chose to handle things the christian way. I used patience and faith to guide my decisions. My situation has not been resolved, yet I am confident that I did the right thing and am no longer worried.

As I listen to the rain outside and the newscaster forecast heavy rain and a flood watch in the Atlanta area, I am not concerned. God showed me that he's still in control. I've been getting confirmation after confirmation some subtly others not so subtle. But regardless of the method, the message is clear. Worry not, cause fear is not of God.

A different approach may lead to different results

I've decided to stay indoors today to enjoy the rain without getting wet. :o) I swear its raining elephants, more so than cats and dogs outside. I love this type of weather, so I'm sitting on the couch watching one of my favorite movies - "Coming to America." While watching this movie for the thousandth time, the thought came to mind..'why do I notice something new each time I watch this movie?'

I don't know the answer to this million dollar question.

So, I began pondering my own life immediately in hopes of finding an answer to this self imposed question...(I'm not crazy, I promise). Without going into detail, I pondered an important decision made years ago that if given the adequate preparation would've resulted in a different outcome. If I was able to revisit the problem as often as I was able to revisit this movie, a different answer or a different perspective would've resulted each time.

Unfortunately life does not operate like the STOP/PLAY button on a DVD player. So, the best we can do is ensure that we think things through thoroughly before making a decision to ensure that we're making the best possible decision. Thinking things through may lead to a different approach and this different approach may lead to a different result.

Remember, you're not in a race. Take your time, think things through. A delayed decision is sometimes the best decision. I will admit that my decision was made rather hastely, but God is good. If you replay a decision you've made in the past, would you come up with a different solution/result? I think so. I think its b/c you're more prepared to make the decision.
